Significant Leadership Endorsement of End Widow Abuse (2)

Bible Passage: Exodus 22:22-24 KJV
Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

We thank Almighty God for the opportunity to intercede on behalf of widows and their children. God has called us to this for a purpose and our collective prayers will make a difference in the name of Jesus. Amen

On attitude and behaviour towards widows, we pray the following:

1. Father wherever people are planning to afflict widows, please bring such plans to null and void. Perhaps out there somewhere, a woman has just been made a widow and all such persons are thinking is how to access property that is not theirs, please Jehovah Shammah in your might and power, intervene and forestall such plans in the Mighty name of Jesus.

2. Father in Heaven who sees all and knows all, perhaps out there somewhere, a widow has been saddled with debt through no fault of her own, please Lord, protect her from creditors, bailiffs etc. in the name of Jesus. At a time that she needs you most, let her find you in unimaginable proportion Lord, in the name of Jesus.

3. Dear Lord, keep widows discerning, even in moments of grief. Do not allow their vulnerability to lead them astray in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Do not allow them to fall into the hands of those who seek to harm them in the mighty name of Jesus. Let them always place their trust in you.

4. Oh Lord, we cry to you for a cleansing of the hearts of those who use widowhood as an opportunity to inflict trauma on widows and their children and find a reason to act in wicked and unjust ways in the mighty name of Jesus.

5. Above all Father in Heaven, we ask with Thanksgiving for your healing power to flow in all families that have lost loved ones in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Many women have suddenly become widows in this pandemic, Lord, be with them to soothe and console them in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you Lord for answered prayers. AMEN.

Text John 4, emphasis on 4-7  Every action of the people of God and their  challenges are noted in heaven and bring GLORY TO GOD.
