Good morning Saints of God. Happy new week . 

My name is Sister Folake Akosile and I will be leading prayers for our noble nation for this week. I will be joined by Sister Jummai Elumelu Zion to do this. Please join us to pray fervently for Nigeria our nation. May God answer all our prayers in the Jesus Name. Amen.

No doubt, we need to agree that the Almighty God has blessed Nigeria far beyond what we deserved, he has been good to Nigeria with mineral, agricultural and human resources and much more. 

Lord we bless and thank you in Jesus Name for all that you have blessed us with in Nigeria. We are grateful Lord in Jesus Name.

Let us thank God for the victory He has given to us so far in Jesus Name. 

Lord we thank you for your love towards Nigeria in Jesus Name.

Lord we thank you for the state of our nation because you say in your word that in everything we must give thanks in Jesus Name.

We know that things are not going right in Nigeria. There is kidnapping, banditry, herdsmen attack, communal issues and Boko Haram to mention a few. There is so much insecurity.Nigeria is our Jerusalem, we do not have any other country to call our own. The state of our nation is distressing, disappointing and worrisome. If you look around, you will see that we need to pray more for our dear nation in Jesus Name.
We beg you to dedicate some time to join us to pray for our nation this week in Jesus Name. Amen.

The devil is surely out for the soul of our nation. But we know that when we pray the Lord answers us. 

So, let us pray and ask God for mercies asking God to forgive us as a nation and a people. We have gone away from the Lord, we have done what we were not supposed to do and left undone what we supposed to do. But there are mercies with our God and He will show us mercies in Jesus Name. Amen.

Therefore, we need to pray for victory against all these ills in our nation. We need spiritual and moral renewal to assist us to change a people and a nation.

II Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I implore all of us to humble ourselves, seek the face of God and ask God for forgiveness of our sins in Jesus Name. The Lord is looking for just one man. Let that man be you and do stand in the gap for our nation in Jesus Name.
