Repentance and Restoration of Rebellious People

Day 1 

Good morning house!

May God deliver us from the scourge of coronavirus.  

My name is Kofoworola Adewunmi. 

Our prayer focus this week is Repentance and Restoration of Rebellious People.

What is rebellion?

Rebellion is the resistance to or defiance of any authority, control, or tradition. It could be spiritual rebellion against God and His tenets, Parental rebellion, rebellion against constituted authority (nation, church, school, workplace etc.). Whatever form the rebellion takes: the spirit of rebellion is the culprit. 

The spirit of rebellion is one way the enemy seeps in almost undetected, causing hurt, confusion and often serious damage. 

It can start small and subtle, or it can come on fiercely and quickly. While some instances of rebellion are more serious than others, 

There is a battle for the souls of humans. The enemy is after them, and some have fallen prey to his schemes. 

Believers should be careful not to be self-righteous in the matter of Rebellion 

The spirit of rebellion exists in anyone who indulges In speaking/acting  against the will of God, authority in the land, spiritual hierarchy in family or other forms of legitimate constituted authority.

Rebellion is a spirit and it is a sin against God and man. 

Romans 13:1 NKJV

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

1 Samuel 15:23 NKJV

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king."

Philippians 2:14 NKJV

Do all things without complaining and disputing,

What are we modelling as Believers?  Murmuring against our spiritual leaders, passing judgement etc. 

What spiritual door have we opened as a result?

On the home front Kenneth Hagin’s wife, Oretha, had this to say: “If a husband and wife don’t show love to each other, how can they expect their children to show love to others? There grows the seed of rebellion. 

No matter how difficult or far gone the situation may seem, we must never give up.

We have the whole armor of God to fight the good fight of faith. Ephesians 6:11

Psalm 144:1 NKJV

Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle-

There is hope for all rebellious ones. We are not powerless. If we can pray. 

Let us pray.

May the Lord hear and answer us in Jesus Name.

 

1. Father, in the Name of Jesus, we praise You and thank You that You are a good God. 

2. Thank You for Your unfailing love towards mankind. 

3. Father, thank You for giving us the privilege to stand in the gap. 

4. Thank You  Lord for who You are: the creator of heaven and earth, the One who reigns in the affairs of men.

5. Our hope isn’t in our efforts, but in the Lord Who hears when we call. (Ps 38:15)

# Lord in anyway we have fallen short of Your glory have mercy and forgive us in Jesus Name. 

Psalm 27:11

1. Lord Teach Your people the way, And lead them away from every path of rebellion into a smooth path, do not let them fall prey to their enemies.

2. Father we thank You because none of the children of Your kingdom are going to hell. 

3. Thank God, because He teaches His own and gives them great peace and prosperity.

# Father We Plead the Blood of Jesus Over Your People, establish Your children in righteousness.

4. Exodus 33:19, Psalm 25:7

Let’s ask God to have mercy on anyone young or old who have followed the path of rebellion, against God, or man. 

5. Father please Overlook the sins of Your people, Show them mercy and forgiveness, see them through Your eyes of everlasting love and kindness. 

6. Cause Your mercy to turn around their captivity.
